Receipt Printers

Receipt printers are an integral part of a reliable point-of-sale system. There are 3 major classes of receipt printer technologies on the market today: impact, thermal and ink jet. Most receipt printers use the direct thermal method with heat. More merchants request a thermal printer more than the impact or ink jet printers which make the thermal printer our most popular, impact printers offer an affordable alternative, and inject printers offer advanced features and speed over the impact. The down side to the ink jet are the expense of the ink cartridges. The ribbons for the impact printers are much less expensive and no chance of an ink spill.  The Electronic Avenue, Inc. carries the ink jet printers also but the demand is so small that we do not list them. We also carry all the popular POS receipt printers from manufacturers like Epson, POS-X, Star, Samsung, Citizen, Ithaca, SNBC  and Posiflex. Epson receipt printers tend to be our most popular printer probably because the Epson name is known by more people than any of the other brands. Thermal receipt printers from SNBC, Star and Samsung offer the same features and quality at lower prices, all manufacturers have models with great flexibility and reliability for the POS industry. Most manufacturers also offer printers that emulate Epson receipt printers and are a fine alternative for the tighter budgets. The Electronic Avenue, Inc. does not sell items that tend to break down and cause problems. Business owners value our judgments and if you have problems then we have problems and we will not carry models that continually have problems. We also carry a 3 year warranty on all models even if the manufacturer is less than 3 years.
